Temple Square

Finally, pictures of Temple Square! We took Valentin to Temple Square last week, but when we pulled out the camera, we discovered we had left the battery charging at home. Because the camera takes a special battery, we couldn't just run to the nearest store to buy one. We decided we would go back today to take pictures and tour the Conference Center since we didn't have time for that tour before. Last week we were able to take a tour of the North Visitor's Center and the Tabernacle. We also saw the Joseph Smith Movie being shown in the Legacy Theater. To conclude our visit, we went to the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building to look over the Salt Lake Valley. As usual, we enjoyed our visit. We had never been on the Conference Center tour, so the kids got to finally go to the top of it to see what is up there. The vegetation is different on top of the center than Temple Square itself. It had mostly trees, shrubs, and grass native to the Utah mountains. It smelled great, but was definately a different beauty.
